Volunteer Meals on Wheels drivers needed
The Red Cross's Meals on Wheels service supports elderly, ill and disabled people living at home who would otherwise struggle to provide healthy meals for themselves.
They desperately need volunteers keen to deliver hot meals to people in need in Christchurch and Rangiora.
Volunteers currently need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Most volunteers deliver once every two to four weeks.
- Volunteer shifts typically last between one to three hours.
- Volunteers are needed on weekdays around lunchtime.
- Volunteers don't deliver on weekends or in the evenings.
- Shift durations may vary daily depending on the number of meals and traffic in each location.
