Community groups for communication difficulties

These groups are for adults with a condition that affects their ability to speak and communicate.

Aphasia hub support groups

Support meetings (which Aphasia New Zealand calls aphasia hubs) provide an opportunity to share experiences and have open discussions with those with and affected by aphasia. Carers, family members, friends and professionals are welcome too.

A person who knows about aphasia and can provide you with support facilitates most meetings. The meetings can also include guest speakers and local updates and information, training and communication techniques, and other topics of interest. The meetings are free, but a koha (donation) is welcome and will help us to continue to provide support.
