Green Prescription is a support and motivation service. It helps people aged 18 and over get more physically active. It includes free consultations with a physical health advisor. It also gives you the opportunity to take part in a Be Active programme.
Be Active is an 8-week lifestyle programme. The programme lets you try a range of activities in a safe and supportive setting. Each weekly session lasts 1½ hours. The session includes 45 minutes of physical activity. It also includes a 30-minute education session and 15 minutes to socialise with other participants. Education topics covered include healthy eating, motivation and goal setting.
Green Prescription is funded, so there is no cost except for a small charge for the Be Active programmes.
