Thrush is a common infection, caused by a fungus. It's also called candida.
Thrush is usually treated with cream or a tablet. It can be more common after you've been taking antibiotics, and having diabetes can make you more likely to get thrush.
Most women will have vaginal thrush at some stage in their life. If you keep getting symptoms you should see your doctor.
Vaginal thrush is common in pregnancy. If you have thrush during pregnancy, talk to your midwife, LMC or GP. Oral treatments for thrush are not recommended in pregnancy.
