The Diabetes Centre offers advice, support and specialist follow-up for people in Canterbury with type 1 diabetes or complicated type 2 diabetes. Your doctor may refer you to see a specialist at the Diabetes Centre.

The Diabetes Centre team includes diabetes specialists, diabetes nurse specialists, diabetes youth nurse, podiatrists, dietitians, and psychologists. There is a Māori diabetes nurse specialist, a Māori diabetes health worker and a Pacific diabetes nurse educator available.
Ashburton diabetes services include a dietitian, diabetes nurse specialist, visiting diabetes podiatrist and visiting diabetes specialist.
Ashburton diabetes services are in Community Services, Ashburton Hospital, Elizabeth St, Ashburton.
