Community support organisations for ADHD

Living with ADHD children can cause real stress in families. The Christchurch ADHD Parent Support Group has been set up specifically for parents to share their experiences and ideas, and to gain support from each other. Parents of ADHD children are welcome to make contact, or to join its Facebook group.

Several other organisations (often called NGOs, or non-government organisations) can help you develop skills to deal with the challenges, and help you through particular issues you might experience.

Right Service Right Time

Right Service Right Time is a Christchurch-based entry point to many child and family social services. Member organisations provide a range of services for family violence, budgeting, early intervention for at-risk families, families under stress, and vulnerable and at-risk people.

A service coordinator assesses referrals to find the most appropriate and available services, and forwards them to the organisations.

For more information, phone (03) 375-1468 or 027-654-7788, email info@rightservice.org.nz, or visit the website.
